The perfect dog bed for your dog and for your interior

Our dog is not the smallest, you can safely say that our King poodle is quite a giant. Certainly not a lap dog that you let sit on your lap, but that does not make him less cuddly and let alone that it is at least as important to ensure that our King is comfortable when he does not secretly crawl on the couch.
Because we value our interior quite a bit, it was best to look for a suitable dog bed, or a dog bed that does not immediately attract all the attention as soon as you enter. It should be comfortable, but should be a bit subtle, our royal poodle needs the largest size as standard, so it is not very inconspicuous, but the dog bed certainly does not have to be bulky.
During our search we came across various dog beds, dog cushions and dog baskets. You also have a dog sofa, the bench mat and even a sleeping bag. They are truly available in all colors and sizes.
You would say, a king poodle needs at least a dog sofa.. We chose a pillow anyway. Because when the weather is nice, he takes the lounge sofa himself without consulting it.
The different functions of a dog bed
The most important thing is of course that a dog must be able to lie down comfortably, he must rest in his basket, be able to sleep well in the dog bed. However, it differs greatly per option which function is most applicable and therefore suitable for your dog.
We start with the Dog Sofa.
If you like to involve your dog in the family, the dog sofa is very suitable. If you have an Afghan Hound dressed up as a King Poodle, this throne will help him perform his act well.
The dog sofa provides a striking and distinctive look in your interior, a dog sofa usually has raised edges and often matching cushions for a cozy and warm look. The raised edge of the dog sofa is ideal for your dog because he can rest his head on it.
Dog sleeping bag
We had never heard of this ourselves, but apparently there are also dogs who get cold quickly or who like to lie under something. Then a dog sleeping bag is ideal. A dog sleeping bag can be used all year round and is of course not only useful for camping, but also wonderful to use at home in a cozy living room.
A dog dormitory can also be used in a bicycle basket, because it is also important that the dog is nice and warm there.
The dog basket
In a dog bed, your dog is comfortable, safe and secure in its own place. There are soft but also hard dog beds available. In principle, there is a suitable basket for every dog. These are available in all kinds of sizes, colors and shapes and differ in material, price and quality.
Don't just look at the appearance, but also think carefully about the material. If you choose a cheaper model, there is a chance that the dog will destroy the basket faster or that it cannot be cleaned properly, which is of course important with a dog bed.
The dog cushion
In the end we opted for a dog pillow. Our dog is very calm on this, he can curl up small, but also stretch completely so that his long legs on both sides almost fall over the edge. When our King Poodle is dreaming on his side, you will see that kissing is perfectly in line with his wishes. The size is good, the thickness and the material ensure a good lying position. And not unimportant, the pillow fits nicely in our interior and the cover is easy to clean.
A dog cushion is also ideal for outside, in a basket it quickly becomes too hot because the dog cannot lose its heat.
